We all have those crazy period stories, don't we? Want to share yours? Fill out the form below & share with us! Don't worry, you can stay anonymous.

As bleeders we all have things to rant about. We go through so much just for having a uterus - so let's talk about it. Let us know if you connect to anything, and feel free to share your own rants with us!

I'm honoured that you're here, taking the time to read not only the Pain With Me blog but my story as well. Talking openly about periods and sharing my period story has always been something I've done. Growing up, I had support and understanding about my period and the pain I felt most of the month, however, I never had anyone to talk to that could relate to the pain. I didn't have a space where people openly shared their period experiences or even someone to connect with. There's a real possibility that so many of us didn't even know we had a condition or that period pain wasn't normal because we were brought up with the narrative of "we don't talk about our bodies, or our pain" and of course, "periods come with pain". Both of those narratives are so hard to unlearn. And I won't lie to you, I only found out that periods shouldn't be painful only a few years ago.

I've had the idea for Pain With Me for years, yet that little voice of self-doubt always popped back in whenever I thought of starting something. I kept asking myself, "Why me? Why would people want to hear what I have to say?". I'd constantly put myself down (still do) because I kept reminding myself that I'm not a trained doctor, or a medical professional in the uterine field or even an expert on the subject. But then a thought occurred to me - there are so many specialists out there anyway, what if people want to hear from someone who actually has the pain? What if people want to be able to relate to the person and not only learn from an expert? And then I started putting an idea together, talked myself out of it for a few months and then launched Pain With Me. It officially started as an Instagram and Facebook page where I'd share reminders, funny and relatable videos and the occasional period news. Then I launched the podcast and now this blog! Peruse, listen, learn, read, and be a part of the Pain With Me Community.
